I chose to compare NoRedInk and Quill because both tools target writing and grammar instruction but approach learning through different theoretical lenses and design priorities. As an educator and emerging instructional designer, I wanted to evaluate how each platform supports learner autonomy, accessibility, and engagement across both secondary and adult learning contexts. Creating this comparison helped me think critically about how digital tools embody principles of andragogy and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), particularly in how feedback, pacing, and interface design impact motivation and inclusivity. This process strengthened my ability to evaluate technology not just for its features, but for its alignment with learning theory and real-world instructional goals.
